Gat Creek & Environment Furniture

Shofer's is proud to announce that we have added Gat Creek Furniture and Environment Furniture to our line of products.  These brands provide the same quality and style that you have come to expect from the furniture at Shofer's, as well has maintain a commitment to sustainable manufacturing. Here is a break down of some of the characteristics of these brands. You'll see why we've added them to the Shofer's family of manufacturers.

Gat Creek Furniture — All furniture in built in the United States. About half of the furniture is produced in an over-sized workshop in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. A collection of more than 25 individual workshops — many Gat Creekowned by Amish and Mennonite families — hand builds the remainder in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Delaware.  Gat Creek takes a very personal approach to their furniture. The artisan who makes it signs and dates his/her work. They work exclusively with domestic hardwoods, and are careful that all wood comes from sustainably managed forests. They use no assembly lines.

Environment Furniture — Eco-friendly design has come a long way. Said to have “created functional pieces of art that are monuments to sustainable living” it is Environment’s experimentation with uncommon woods and textiles that quickly established the brand as a design pioneer.

The materials used in Environment’s collections are either reclaimed, recycled or repurposed wood and canvas, providing true diversity in both appearance and texture.
